Sara's pre Communion Shoot

Yesterday was a great day for taking photos. In the morning I headed out to checkout a couple of locations for my afternoon shoot with the Clarke family. I first visited Union Church of Pocantico Hills, which is an incredibly beautiful church, which has been made famous by the Rockefellers and the stained glass windows created by Matisse and Chagall.

From there I headed over to Horan's Landing in Sleepy Hollow. It is an ideal river location with panoramic views of the Hudson stretching south beyond the Tappan Zee and North beyond the Tarrytown Lighthouse.

I had a great feeling about this spot for capturing Sara, Emma and Luke later that day.

The Clarke family and I started our shoot at Transfiguration Church in Tarrytown, where Sara will receive her First Holy Communion on 9th May. We were fortunate enough to find the church empty which gave us plenty of time to get some wonderful photographs of Sara, her sister Emma and brother Luke. The children all looked beautiful in their outfits.

From there we went to Horan's Landing. It was a little breezy and so Sara's veil had to be readjusted several times, but despite that the shoot went so well. Sara seemed to thoroughly enjoy herself and was the perfect model. I ended up with no closed eye shots, amazing. A true professional Sara, thank you so much. It was a pleasure. I cannot wait to hear what you think of them.
