Discovering hidden parts of Westchester!
What a fantastic afternoon for a hike. Today we headed south to Dobbs Ferry and to Halsey Pond. If you haven't been there and live in the area, you really must check it out. It is the most amazing place, nestled in a beautiful residential neighborhood close to Mercy College. The castle like structure is Beltzhoover Tea House which is the largest remaining structure of the Beltzhoover Estate, built in 1905. It overlooks Halsey Pond and the trail we took today which circles the pond. We can only imagine what the main house must have been like!
